Pawllet

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026

The short version

Pawllet stores everything on your device. We don't have servers. We never see your pets, expenses, photos, or anything else you log in the app.

No accounts. No tracking. No ads. No analytics. No data sales. If you uninstall Pawllet, your data is gone. That's how we like it, and that's how the app is built.

1. Who we are

Pawllet ("the app," "we," "us," "our") is a pet finance and care tracker for Android. The app is published by:

Hydrodubshop LLC

This policy explains what data Pawllet handles, what we do (and don't do) with it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Pawllet mobile app and this website.

2. What data Pawllet handles

When you use Pawllet, you create and view the following kinds of information. All of it lives only on your device.

Pet profile data

Health data

Financial data

How and where this data is stored

Pawllet stores everything in your device's local app storage (the equivalent of localStorage on web). This storage is private to the app and only accessible to Pawllet on your device. We do not run a backend, do not have a database, and do not maintain user accounts.

Photos you add (pet pictures, receipt photos) are compressed and stored as part of the same local app storage. They never leave your device.

3. What we don't do

We want to be explicit because most apps in this category do most of these things. Pawllet does none of them:

4. What touches the internet

Pawllet is designed to work offline. There are, however, two narrow cases where the app makes outbound network requests to third-party providers. We disclose these for full transparency:

4.1 Web font (Inter)

The app loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) on first launch. This is a stylistic font request only — it does not transmit any of your pet or expense data. As with any web request, Google's servers may receive your device's IP address and browser/system metadata as part of normal HTTP traffic. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle that.

4.2 PDF generation library

When you tap Export vet-ready PDF for the first time, the app loads two JavaScript libraries (jsPDF and jsPDF-AutoTable) from Cloudflare's CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). This is needed to generate the PDF document on your device. Like the font request, this transmits no pet or expense data — only the standard HTTP request information necessary to fetch the file. The PDF itself is built and saved entirely on your device.

If you never tap that button, that request never happens. The PDF library is the only part of the app that requires an internet connection.

We are evaluating bundling these resources directly into the app so that future versions can operate fully offline. If that changes, we'll update this section.

5. Permissions

Pawllet asks for the minimum permissions needed:

The app does not request notifications, location, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera (uses the standard photo picker instead), or biometric permissions.

6. Your rights and controls

Because your data lives on your device, you have direct control over it. You don't need to make a request — you can exercise these rights yourself from inside the app:

7. Age restrictions

Pawllet is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Because the app collects no personal data on a server (and stores all data locally on the user's device), there is no remote dataset that could include a child's information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using Pawllet, you can fully delete their data by uninstalling the app from their device.

8. Region-specific notes

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. Because Pawllet does not transmit your data to us or any third party we control, we are not a data controller of your in-app data — you are. You can exercise each of these rights directly via the app's controls described in Section 6.

The Google Fonts and Cloudflare CDN requests described in Section 4 are operated by their respective providers, who act as independent controllers for any metadata (such as IP addresses) those requests generate. See their privacy policies for details.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Pawllet does not sell or share your personal information. Because no personal data leaves your device through Pawllet, there is nothing to disclose, delete on your behalf, or opt out of — you control it directly via the app.

Other jurisdictions

Where local laws grant additional rights, we will honor them. The on-device-only design of Pawllet means most rights are exercised by you directly without our involvement.

9. Security

Your data is protected by the same security model that protects any other app's data on your Android device: Android's per-app sandboxed storage prevents other apps from reading Pawllet's data without your involvement.

For additional protection, we recommend:

No system is perfectly secure. If your device is lost, stolen, or compromised, the data inside Pawllet may be accessible to whoever has the device.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy — for example, to disclose a new third-party service or a new feature that changes how data is handled — we will:

We won't reduce your rights under this policy without your explicit consent.
